About Me

I'm Randa Darwish — a Senior Digital Journalist at BBC Arabic with nearly a decade of experience spanning the full arc of modern journalism: from boots-on-the-ground reporting to building and leading digital teams.

Today I lead a team of video and social media journalists, shaping how BBC Arabic tells its stories in the digital space. I've helped develop content strategies, grow social audiences, and produce work that reaches millions of Arabic-speaking people worldwide.

Beyond my day-to-day role, I co-produced an English-language podcast for the BBC and serve on a BBC staff network focused on women in news — because great journalism also means building the right environments for the people who make it.

I'm always looking for my next challenge: a senior editorial or leadership role where I can drive bold, audience-first journalism at scale.
